SULA Designs is the culmination of founder and creator Sulinh Lafontaine’s years of experience in the design, fashion, and entertainment world. She has over a decade of experience in both residential and commercial design. Sulinh effortlessly combines crisp, clean architecture with custom upholstery, antique and vintage furniture, and modern and contemporary art. Her work shows a deep respect for a variety of traditions, viewed through a modern eye.

Her global design style mixes elegant lines with unexpected textures and colors, all while reflecting her clients’ unique personalities and tastes. Her designs are customized to meet the stylistic and functional needs of her clients perfectly. Sulinh prides herself in being able to offer each client a personal touch, from custom designed furniture to perfectly sourced original art.

Sulinh started out as a designer, but what sets her apart from other interior designers now is that she is also a builder. She combines a knowledge in architectural design as well as construction work. She has personally overseen many projects from start to finish playing the key role of a project manager/general contractor putting into place full construction crew.

Sulinh has a high-end modern style on an accessible budget and often uses new technology such as 3D and VR to help clients visualize their spaces before making any decisions.

Her projects include residential and commercial properties stretching from a 400-square foot studio in Manhattan to a 217-room hotel and full restaurant bar in Kauai, and everything in between from modern custom build homes to historical remodeling and additions.
